Rescue Ink Unleashed is my new favorite show.  Not only do I love watching these hilarious "tough guys" explain how life works to degenerate animal abusers, but I can't believe how much good they do around the New York metro area. You should see the barbarians Rescue Ink has to deal with; shameful.  Support Rescue Ink, they are heroes!  

Rescue Ink airs on the National Geographic channel Fridays at 10pm.

New Nail Polish Colors from Sephora by OPI

As you know, I have declared OPI to be superior in quality (but not neccessarily in colors) than Essie.  OPI does make fashion forward colors, but you have to know where to find them.  Sephora by OPI has new limited edition "212" colors out to commemorate the opening of the new Sephora Fifth Avenue flagship.  They don't carry them in salons; you have to buy them online or at Sephora for 9 dollars and bring it with you.  But it's worth it.  TRUEdat

 

Kate Hudson and A-Rod celebrate the Yankees' world series victory with Derek Jeter at 1Oak

Congratulations to the Yankees on their world series victory!!  The crowd went bananas after the 7-3 win against the Phillies; people were blasting music and dancing in the streets, holding up signs.  It was spectacular.

It wouldn't be a Yankees game (lately) without Kate Hudson cheering on Alex Rodriguez.  The couple partied at 1Oak with A-Rod's mom, Lourdes Navarro and his sister, Suzy, after the game.  They joined Derek Jeter and his girlfriend Minka Kelly at 2AM; Kate stayed for a half hour and left, but A-Rod, Jeter and Minka Kelly stayed until 5AM.  Let's go Yankees!!

New Moon out November 20th : Edward v Jacob : watch the trailer here

The New Moon world premieres have begun, and the cast of the movie (due out Nov. 20) has been traveling to promote the film.  Some of the first countries they will tour are Japan, Brazil, and soon Rome.  Much of the book's "Volturi" sequence in Rome is said to be highlighted in the film, so I'm sure the fans there will be overwhelming.  

Word on the street is that the script has been slightly altered to fit in more Edward time.  I am a big 'book' fan, but I have to say, I thought it would have been a lot better with more Edward.  I was flipping the pages with a quickness to get to the Edward parts.  Just because Bella screwed things up, why should we have to suffer?  Jacob just can't light a fire like Edward- sorry Taylor Lautner.  It's not you, it's Edward.  Everything about his character is just so hot.  Robert Pattinson is the paradigmatic Edward Cullen, I adore him in this role.  I have to wonder, though; why is Edward Cullen is so gorgeous, but Robert Pattinson is tres medioaks?  I mean:

A&E promotes Steven Seagal Lawman just in time for Halloween

 The following is excerpted from Entertainment Weekly online:

A&E has sent out screeners of its new “real life series” Steven Seagal Lawman (premiering Dec. 2), which chronicles the actor’s day job: For almost 20 years, he’s been a fully commissioned deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana. According to the press material, not only does Seagal, who has a 7th-degree black belt in aikido, go out on patrol, he is also “an expert marksman who has worked with their SWAT team and has instructed Jefferson Parish officers in firearms and hand-to-hand combat.” Episodes will allow us to ride shotgun with Seagal as he responds to crimes-in-progress, as well as to partake in his off-the-clock ventures (musical performances!).

A&E sent promotional copies of it's new Steven Seagal series secured with pint-sized flack vests perfect for baby's first Halloween.  The teacup vests were produced for A&E under the direction of Robert Tembeck of JTJ Industries in New York city.  Word on the street is Mr. Tembeck liked the finished product so much, he kept one for his own daughter, Dylan.  Look out for these mini-agents hitting the streets to trick-or-treat tonight. SUPPORT 'RERUN' THOROUGHBRED RESCUE'S MONEIGH® AUCTION BEGINNING NOV. 29

Helmetta, NJ - Once again it’s time to celebrate the holidays with ReRun, a New Jersey-based Thoroughbred adoption program, and enjoy the masterful Moneighs® painted by champion racehorses that will be auctioned off on eBay November 29 – December 6.

According to “Moneigh” Mary Simons, the ReRun volunteer who assists the equine artists in creating their handiwork, the November auction will be a little different than previous ones. “This time, we have Moneighs® painted by a nice variety of breeds, not just our beloved Thoroughbred racehorses. We’ll be featuring the artistic work of Dutch Warmbloods, a Percheron, a mini pony, a Holsteiner, a Pacer, and a Standardbred.”

Those of you who are racing enthusiasts, not to worry. The auction will also include Moneighs® by Kentucky Derby winners, Breeders’ Cup winners, leading Kentucky sires and broodmares, as well as some popular Florida stallions and some up-and-coming Thoroughbreds stars.

For the uninitiated, Mary Simons explains just what a Moneigh® is. “Each painting is unique in style and color by the equine artists, who create their artwork using their noses, lips, and tails. Most include a hoof print, lock of mane or tail, and brass name plate.”

Proceeds from the eBay auction support the horses on ReRun’s New York and New Jersey farms and North Carolina chapter farm.
